Benefits of Managed Services
To varying degrees, you can call upon managed services when you develop solutions in the AWS Cloud. For example, you can use EC2 to help with the automation and deployment of your virtual machines, and you can go even further and use a serverless compute service like Lambda in order to perform even fewer tasks. There are many benefits of using managed services in AWS. Here are some important ones:
Cost savings: Managed services often follow a pay-as-you-go model, allowing you to pay only for the resources you consume. This can result in cost savings compared to maintaining and managing equivalent services on premises or through traditional hosting.
Lower operational overhead: Because managed services reduce the routine maintenance tasks your teams must perform, they can save time and money and allow you to focus on tasks that can improve operations.
High availability: Using managed services typically means you experience great gains in availability for your solutions and your data. The AWS global architecture enables you to deploy resources all over the world in seconds. You can achieve levels of high availability you might never be able to afford or implement by using your own company resources.
Disaster recovery: The use of managed services often provides an increase in disaster recovery mechanisms such as automated backups and offsite storage.
Exam Preparation Tasks
